First couple days, arriving in Strasbourg
So, second day in Europe. Yesterday we took the train (had to change in Karlsruhe, I think) to Strasbourg, which is formerly part of Germany, but is now French. Luckily the AirBnB that we booked allowed us to check in early. Eric had been feeling sick that morning - felt like throwing up we we went slow, and the kids carried his bags, as there was about a 30 minute walk to the apartment. We actually had to find 2 places, the first was a laundrymat where we could pick up the keys via an automated system. Then the actual place. It's a three story apartment with very steep steps, ones that you're best off going downstairs backwards on. It looks almost brand new, and didn't have any reviews yet on AirBnB, so maybe we're one of the first renters. Trying to eat low carb/carnivore here is challenging but so far, pretty doable. We've been to 2 grocery stores so far, the ReWe at the Frankfurt Airport, and the Auchan not too far from our apartment. Some of what I've bou...
